Pupils pour energies into drinks campaign

A drive to flatten the consumption of energy drinks among pupils has been launched by Burnfoot Community School.

Members of the health and wellbeing group are hoping to stop the use of high-caffeine drinks on the way to school, with a poster and leaflet campaign highlighting the negative effect they have on health, behaviour and learning. Shopkeepers have also agreed not to sell such drinks to Burnfoot pupils before 9am. In addition the group held an assembly to share what they had learned
