Pub assault accused faces court

A 45-year-old Hawick man was arrested and charged with assault after an incident in the Red Lion public house in Kelso last Friday night. He has been reported to the procurator fiscal and will appear in court at a later date.

Meanwhile, a 22-year-old female has been charged with causing minor damage to a shop door on the High Street on March 2.
