Police in plea over ‘stolen’ chainsaws

POLICE are trying to link two stolen chainsaws with their rightful owners.

The saws were recovered by officers at the weekend – and police believe they have almost certainly been stolen.

A spokesperson for Lothian and Borders Police stated: “We suspect that the chainsaws may have been stolen and are appealing for people who store tools in sheds, outhouses or vehicles to check that their own chainsaws are not missing.”

Anyone who believes that one or both of the tools may belong to them can contact the police station on 375051.
