New date for Trinity Street man’s trial

A NEW trial date has been fixed for a man accused of two offences within the space of a week.

Lee Nichol, 26, of Trinity Street, denies charges of attempting to pervert the course of justice and possession of cannabis.

The offences are said to have happened in Hawick on September 14 and 20.

Defence lawyer Rory Bannerman asked for more time to prepare for trial and a fresh date was set for May 9 with an intermediate

hearing scheduled for April 12.
