The memory of tragic Hawick Cashmere worker Alison Telford, who died from cancer earlier this year, has inspired former colleagues to raise more than £2,000 for charity.

At the end of October, a group of 49 employees from the Duke Street mill completed a route from Hawick to Ashkirk to mark the death of mender Alison, and also raise money for the Margaret Kerr Unit.

Pictured at the cheque presentation (from left) is widower Scott Telford, Gillian Harkness and Julia Hume, both from the Margaret Kerr Unit, and walk organisers Libby Gray and David Crudge from Hawick Cashmere.
