Hogg in the frame for Mansfield return after Kelso move fails

GRAHAM Hogg says the prospect of him donning a Greens shirt this coming season is once again a possibility after he stalled on a move to Kelso.

Hogg, however, will be firmly focused on developments in his day job before returning to rugby at any club. Just a month after announcing his departure from Mansfield Park to sign for Kelso, Hogg says turning out under Phil Leck in RBS National League would be his “first option” when he does return to the game.

“As things stand just now, I’m letting rugby take a back seat,” said Hogg. “If I can sort things out with work, Hawick would be my first option and I’ve made that clear to Phil.”

Hogg’s could not agree terms on a day job offered through Kelso, and a move to Poynder Park failed to materialise. The player is currently training alone to maintain fitness.
