TOWNSFOLK will be given hands-on advice on the signs and symptoms of lung cancer when the Detect Lung Cancer Early tour rolls into Morrisons on Wednesday.
Shoppers will be offered advice and information, highlighting the earlier lung cancer is found, the easier it is to treat and the more likely you are to survive.
The tour is part of the Scottish Government’s Detect Cancer Early campaign, which aims to increase the percentage of people who are diagnosed in the early stages of breast, bowel and lung cancer by 25 per cent by the end of 2015.
A government spokesperson said: “The simple truth is, more people are surviving because treatments are better and more people are getting checked earlier.”
