£1.5million X95 bus service upgrade

THE X95 bus service has received a £1.5million cash injection from operators First Scotland East.

First has introduced ten brand new single-deck buses on the X95 route, which links Hawick with Edinburgh and Carlisle.

Aimed at encouraging more passengers, the news buses are fitted with free wi-fi, leather seats and grab rails. Interiors also include improved buggy and wheelchair access.

The ten new buses are already in service.
