HAWICK Linden are hoping to sign off their annual ladies’ day in style by raising lots of cash for a young cancer sufferer .

The event will be held on November 12 at the Royal Blues’ home match against Preston Lodge.

Linden president Robert Black is pictured here with signed shirts from the recent South of Scotland and Barbarians match – which were acquired by his wife Moira – and the club is auctioning the prize items, with all the funds going to young Callum Murray, son of former player Colin and Tracy Murray, who is undergoing long-term treatment at the Sick Kids’ hospital in Edinburgh for leukaemia.

Anyone who would like to make a bid for the shirts can do so by contacting Linden secretary George Wilson on (01835) 830663 or by e-mail georgewilson105@btinternet.com. Further details can be found at www.freewebs.com/hawicklinden/
