Seven 50+ Walking Group members set off on Sunday to the Lake District to climb the Langdale Pikes.
Parking at the New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel in Greater Langdale, they set off up Stickle Ghyll to Stickle Tarn where lunch was enjoyed on the shore. From here it was onwards and upwards round the back of Pavey Ark and Harrison Stickle, often in rain but at times fair when magnificent views of Crinkle Crags, Bowfell, and Old Man of Coniston were marvelled at. Then it was downwards by Dungeon Ghyll Force and back to the hotel where a lovely meal and drink were enjoyed.
Next walk is on May 25 to Cala Cairn, and will be led by Margaret Smith .
