Knife accused remanded

A man accused of an assault with a knife in the town has been remanded in custody.

Edward Tams appeared in private at Jedburgh Sheriff Court today (Tuesday), charged on petition with assault to permanent disfigurement on March 25.

He is also charged with a further assault to injury and possession of a knife.

The 52-year-old, of Drumlanrig Court, was fully committed and remanded in custody by Sheriff Peter Paterson.
