Kids’ chips and cake drama show at citadel

In a dramatic turn of events at the Salvation Army, Grandma Watt and grandchildren Rick and Wendy managed to save the world using potato chips, chocolate cake, and friendship!

The three characters featured in a daily drama during the annual holiday club at the citadel in Croft Road. Almost 40 children enjoyed a mixture of songs, games and Bible stories organised by Majors Steven and Elizabeth Turner and a team of members and friends of the local Salvation Army corps.

Last Friday, around 50 extra family members saw a presentation of some of the songs and stories from the club. And on Sunday, eight children and several helpers gave a similar demonstration to members of the Salvation Army at the regular morning worship meeting
