TERI dancer Jenni Dobbie has retired from competitive freestyle dancing on a high.
The 22-year-old called time at the Elite Freestyle Championships in Pwllheli, North Wales, after 13 years.
Jenni was fourth in the adult premier solo section and won the adult slow dance section.
She said: “I plan to carry on with my passion for dancing by joining the teaching team at Derek Nicol’s Dancemasters in Edinburgh where I have been training for the past nine years.”
Also competing from Hawick at the event was 15-year-old Shaunnie Moore, who was runner-up in the under-16 starter section, her best achievement to date.
