Burnfoot Hub manager Robert Duff has resigned after only six months in charge of the £2.4million facility, writes Jason Marshall.

Mr Duff joined the hub from the Trust Housing Association, with whom he was business development manager, and told the Hawick News after his appointment that he was “delighted to be joining a highly-passionate and dedicated team of people”.

Burnfoot Community Futures chair Zoe Hall said: “I can confirm that Robert has resigned and that Burnfoot Community Futures would like to thank him for the work he has done over the past six months, and we wish him well with his future.

“As an interim measure, [hub project manager] Jan Pringle is taking the reins and the board is focusing on developing the hub, which includes increasing our opening hours on a Monday night for coffees and cakes.”

Mr Duff did not respond to our request for a comment.
