Hillend Drive death wasn’t suspicious

POLICE say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a 37-year-old man on Sunday night.

Officers were called to an address in Hillend Drive at around 12.50pm to assist ambulance staff who had been called to the property to treat a man who was experiencing medical difficulties.

A spokesman said: “The man was taken by ambulance to Borders General Hospital, where he died later that evening. There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death, and a report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.”
