Frankie’s Bar ready for reopening

FRANKIE’S Bar is due to reopen next week following a four month ban, having carried out several improvements required by officials.

The town centre pub now boasts security cameras, a smoking area at the rear, and a ban on drinks being taken outside. Proprietor Frankie McFarlane, who owns the pub with his daughter Joanne, told the Hawick News: “We’ve done a lot of work to improve the bar, by moving the cellar and creating a smoking area at the back, and also installing cameras that are police approved.”

He added: “We’ve worked hard and hope to open either on Monday or next week some time.”
