FIRST Minister Alex Salmond and his Cabinet are coming to Hawick in August.
And Teries are being given the chance to grill the SNP leader at a question and answer event.
The town has been chosen as one of four venues to host part of the Summer Cabinet schedule on August 20 and 21.
Ministers will meet before taking part in a range of activities and visits (to be confirmed) and open sessions with members of the public.
Mr Salmond (pictured) said: “The summer recess gives us an incredibly important opportunity to get out and meet people from a wide range of backgrounds and communities and hear their views on a range of issues.
“I know all of the cabinet are all looking forward to another exciting and valuable round of visits during this year’s programme.”
The other places on the schedule, which is now in its sixth year, are Shetland, Cambletown and Fraserburgh.
It will be the second high profile visit by Holyrood ministers in under a year after the Finance Committee convened in Tower Mill in November.
Mr Salmond added: “I am determined that we continue to work with the people of Scotland to give them the stronger economy, fairer society and brighter future we all deserve.
“These summer cabinets are an important part of helping to build that future and I hope as many people as possible will join us during this exciting programme.”
