‘Drunken idiot’ to carry out 100 hours’ unpaid work

Have your say

A MAN who struggled with police has been ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work in the community.

It follows David Adamson’s bust-up with his partner at a house in Chay Blyth Place on April 30. The 24-year-old had an argument with the mother of his two-year-old child after being locked out of their home.

When she arrived she would not let him in the house because of his drunken condition and he started kicking the door.

He subjected her to a verbal tirade and then wanted to have a go at the police who were called to the incident. The court was told he was hostile to the officers
when they arrived at the scene.

Defence lawyer Rory Bannerman said the couple were now having a fresh start living in Jedburgh and accepted it was “drunken idiotic behaviour” by his client.
