The ladies then had supper at Lilliardsedge to round off a very enjoyable evening.

Trish Kirkpatrick was runnerup in the Roxburgh Federation golf tournament and will join Mary Towers, the winner, at Buchanan Castle Drymen in September.

ROTARY CLUB: President Scott Elliot welcomed members to last week’s meeting. After the meal the club broke up into its various committees and the evening was spent planning and outlining various projects for the new Rotary year which commences next month.

WILTON DEAN: WRI president Joyce Tinlin welcomed members and visitors from other rurals to the open night. She then introduced the entertainers, Humble Scribes, who comprise Kevin Wilson and Ron Templeman, both of whom work at Hawick Uphostery.
