DENHOLM is ready to rock once again at Saturday’s annual F in the Garden music festival.
Staged at the Fox and Hounds Inn, the event gets under way at 1.30pm when a top-notch line-up of six bands will take centre stage.
First on are Psychosurge, from Hawick, who are making a long-awaited return with their own brand of rock covers; and they’ll be followed by Jedburgh’s Stubby Cans who have promised some new numbers during what will be their third time at the festival.
Hawick’s Dark Horse are third on stage, and are also making their third appearance in Denholm, with some classics and some up-to-date cover songs. The music will continue apace with F in the Garden debutants The Stare, whose female vocalist will perform a set of self-penned and well-known hit songs. On fifth are Ruff Cut, from Selkirk, with their popular set of easy-listening rock and blues.
Finally, making their 14th appearance are Shtumm, who are celebrating 15 years together, and their first three songs will be the same ones they started their first gig with. Following that there will be some requests and personal band favourites.
Apart from Shtumm, all the bands will play a 45-minute spot starting on the half-hour.
Admission is free, and event organisers request that nobody brings their own food or drink as it will be taken from them.
There will be three bars and a barbecue all afternoon.
