Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following the theft of a laptop from a car in Hawick.
Enquiries are continuing after a red Vauxhall Astra MV which was parked in McLagan Drive was broken into between 10pm on Wednesday, September 3 and 7am on Thursday, September 4.
As well as damage to the car, a laptop worth around £200 was taken from the vehicle.
Speaking to the Hawick News this week, Inspector Carol Wood said: “This was clearly a distressing incident for the car owner and we are understandably keen to trace the person responsible.
“Anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious around McLagan Drive late Wednesday or early Thursday is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101 or, alternatively, phone the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
