Police are appealing for witnesses after several vehicles were vandalised in the Burnfoot housing estate last week.
And anyone with information is being urged to contact the police on 101.
The car vandalism happened between Thursday, 4 and Saturday, 6 September in Ivanhoe Terrace.
Nine cars, which were parked in the area had their bodywork scratched, resulting in around £2,000 worth of damage.
Officers are conducting local enquiries in a bid to trace those responsible. Anyone who can assist with their investigation is asked to come forward.
Commenting, Inspector Carol Wood said: “This was a mindless act of destruction that resulted in high-value damage to a number of vehicles.
“We would urge anyone who remembers seeing any suspicious activity in Ivanhoe Terrace between Thursday and Saturday to contact police immediately.
“In addition, anyone with information relevant to this enquiry is also asked to get in touch.”
