Council services brought together

SCOTTISH Borders Council has undertaken a number of office moves in Hawick to bring together all social work services in the community into the town hall.

The integrated children’s service team has moved from above the library; the social care and health team has moved from Lothian Street to the first floor; and the community learning and development team has also moved in. These services can be contacted by visiting the customer services reception. Councillor Michael Cook, executive member for corporate improvement, said: “The moves are immensely helpful in working collaboratively.”

Work has also taken place on the ground floor to increase the number of interview rooms.
