Hawick Music Live! presents the Cameo Clarinet Quartet in the Heart of Hawick on Saturday, October 19, at 7pm.

The dynamic, talented clarinet quartet – Lesley Bell, Jenny Stephenson, Nicola Turner and Rebecca Whitener – are a conservatoire-trained alternative to the string quartet, who frequently play with all the professional orchestras in Scotland and further afield.

The quartet’s different instrumentation allows the harmonious Cameo to play a variety of styles from contemporary music to popular classics, including: Variations on a Theme of Paganini, Four Slavonic Dances by Dvorak, ‘Blue Rondo a la Turk’ by Dave Brubeck, Gershwin’s evocative ‘Summertime’, and ‘Oh Lady Be Good’ and Alec Templeton’s 1930s classic ‘Bach Goes to Town’.

Tickets cost £10 (£2 students), available on 01450 360688, or at Tower Mill.
