A shepherd who falsely claimed more than £3,500 benefits, had sentence deferred until March 9 for reports.

Paul Moore, 56, of Oliver Crescent, admitted claiming £2,329 in income support and incapacity benefits, to which he was not entitled, between December 2009-April 2010, after failing to report he was working as a shepherd.

He also admitted failing to report his work as a shepherd and claiming housing and Council Tax benefit of £1,421, to which he was not entitled, between January-April 2010.
