A new head of Hawick Town Twinning Association has been appointed as the organisation continues its revival.
Bill Cumming has been named chairman of the group that cultivates an exchange with Bailleul in northern France. The position of vice chairman has been filled by Alfred Oliver.
One of the first tasks of the new chair will be to help co-ordinate the planned visit of people from Bailleul to Hawick in August 2013.
While a full committee has been formed, the organisation is still on the lookout for new members. The next meeting is at the Future Hawick office in Drumlanrig Square on June 14.
