A man is due to stand trial next year after he denied shoplifting from a store in Galashiels on Tuesday.
Appearing from custody at Duns Sheriff Court on Wednesday, Dean Mitchell, 43, of Charles Street, pleaded not guilty to a charge that he stole a Bluetooth headset from the 02 shop in Channel Street.

He was granted bail with the added condition that he doesn't enter Channel Street and will appear at Selkirk Sheriff Court on June 15.
