TLC in great shape as region's No.1

TEVIOTDALE Leisure Centre boasts the best attendance figures out of the region's eight facilities.
The Borders Sport and Leisure Trust's annual report for 2008/09 shows that the Mansfield Road centre is the most popular and well-used facility – with an attendance of 128,636.

This represents an increase of nine per cent in user numbers from the previous year.

Ewan Jackson, Borders Sport and Leisure's chief executive, told the Hawick News this week: "Consistent with our objectives we reinvested the benefits of increased participation back into facilities and equipment with notable improvements being made with the Teviotdale and Selkirk fitness suites for the benefit of our customers."
