YOUNG Teries have been assured that the wheels are still in motion for the relocation of the skatepark.
And it is understood a meeting will be held in the next six weeks where an update on the plans will be revealed.

Scottish Borders Council's parks chief Jim Hogg, who is retiring next month, admitted it had taken some time since the initial meetings were held towards the end of last year, but he said the plans were still in place to move the facility from the Waverley Walk, which had been targeted by vandals.

Mr Hogg told the Hawick News: "There will be a meeting very soon which will let people see the costings and they will get to see what the next steps will be."

The favoured destination of the new skatepark is next to the ambulance station, although any proposals would be subject to a planning application to the local authority.
