Sentence deferred on man who brandished axe handle

A drunken man who brandished an axe handle at a cottage near Chesters, had sentence further deferred for four months, until March 11.
At Jedburgh Sheriff Court last Thursday, 60-year-old first offender Alan Parker was told by Sheriff Kevin Drummond that if he remained out of trouble during that period, he would be admonished.

Parker of Thistle Cottage, Glebe Farm, admitted committing a breach of the peace at Thistle Cottages, Chesters, on September 16.
