POLICE have issued a warning this week after an elderly woman had her purse stolen while shopping in Morrisons.
The incident happened at 2.45pm on Tuesday when the 86-year-old had her purse snatched from her handbag which was in a shopping basket.

The pensioner reported that she was aware of a man and woman – the man was wearing a leather jacket and was of dark, eastern European or Asian appearance – standing near to her while she was doing her shopping.

Detectives are appealing to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious to contact them on 375051.
