THOUSANDS of people are expected to attend a memorial in honour of Bill McLaren at Murrayfield Stadium, two days before Scotland play England in this year's RBS Six Nations Championship.
The special tribute is being held at the national arena which Hawick's famous commentator regarded as his "second home", on Thursday, March 11, at 6.30pm.

And Bill's devoted family, the BBC and Scottish Rugby are all working together to develop a fitting programme for what promises to be a unique evening.

Bill's daughter Linda Lawson said: "We are keen to make the event a celebration of dad's life and the things that he loved.

"We also want to make it as accessible as possible, so we thought an evening event at Murrayfield, which dad regarded as his second home, would work well."
