Knight calls it a day as chairman

RICHARD Knight this week stepped down as chairman of Burnfoot Community Council.
Mr Knight, who is employed at Johnstons of Elgin, announced at the meeting on Tuesday night that he intends to stay on as a member of the community council, but due to work commitments, he had to relinquish the role of chairman.

Vice-chairman Keith Richardson agreed to take the position until the annual general meeting in June.
