Jobs under threat

JOB losses revealed this week by two of the region's biggest employers look set to have an impact in Hawick.
The plastic coat-hanger manufacturer Mainetti is looking to shed up to 55 jobs from its Jedburgh plant, while dental services firm Peri-dent revealed up to 60 jobs could be under threat at its Tweedbank factory.

It is thought as many as 30 workers from Hawick may be affected.
