A 22-YEAR-OLD woman was released on bail after pleading guilty to a breach of the peace charge.
Michelle Howard, of High Street, admitted repeatedly cutting herself on both arms with an unknown instrument in Princes Street early on Wednesday morning, causing distress to others nearby.

Howard appeared from custody at Duns Sheriff Court on Wednesday, where reports were called for and sentence was deferred to Jedburgh Sheriff Court.

Already subject of a bail order, Sheriff McGroary also placed a curfew on Howard, prohibiting her from leaving her home between 7pm and 7am.
