TERIES are being invited to take a spin around a newly constructed artificial ice rink which will be open next weekend.
The rink, which was the brainchild of the Future Hawick group, measures 12m x 12m, can accommodate up to 50 people at once, and is suitable for the disabled.

Future Hawick chairman Derick Tait said: "The rink company supply all the skates and music, and there are even ice scooter penguins for wee ones to hold onto and dual blades for more balance. We hope it will be a huge success."

The half-hour sessions on Saturday-Sunday, December 12-13, cost £3 and £2 for under-12s. The rink will be open from 10am until 5pm.
