Drop in crime at Burnfoot

CRIME in Burnfoot is down 12 per cent on last year.
Community policeman John Irvine revealed that there had been 150 crimes in total on the estate, compared to 171 at the same time in 2009.

Giving his monthly report at last week's Burnfoot Community Council meeting, PC Irvine told those present that there had been 14 crimes in December, with six solved.

Included in this list were three crimes of dishonesty (two solved), eight instances of vandalism (one solved) and three other crimes, all of which were solved.
