TERIES are being encouraged to give a new sport or game a go at a "come and try day" at Wilton Lodge Park.
The event has been organised by the Hawick Group and will be held on September 20.

Organisers are hoping as many people as possible will take part, as well as taking the opportunity to showcase their particular sport.

Chairman of the Hawick Group Rory Bannerman said: "We hope and expect that with Hawick's proud sporting traditions that many varied sports/pastimes can be 'on show' so as to enthuse the youngest and oldest participants."

Already committed to coming and showing off are cricket, rugby, sub-aqua and chess.

For more information or to pledge support for the annual event, email rory@bannerman burke.co.uk
