THE X95 bus from Hawick will finally return to Edinburgh Bus Station after the transport operator decided to end its controversial absence from the St Andrew's Square facility.
First Bus has announced that it will resume its service to the capital's main bus station – following political pressure from MSPs Christine Grahame – instead of terminating at Waterloo Place, which they have done since April 2009.

They cited the protracted tramworks in Edinburgh causing delays to their services as the reason for not using the station, but a May review by the firm found all roadworks had now been removed.

The service is expected to return from August 16.
