Awards for blood donors

The Scottish Blood Transfusion Service this week thanked those who turned out at donor sessions in the town hall earlier this month.
A total of 446 attended on Sunday-Monday, July 6-7 with 376 donating blood. There were also 37 new donors.

Silver Gilt awards, for reaching 50 donations, went to James McHugh and Kenneth Thomson, while Brian George and Colin McColm picked up Silver awards for reaching 25.

Bronze awards went to Douglas Tait, Lynne Read, Viola Scott, Isabella Sloan, Yvonne Henderson and Faye Brown, who all reached 10 donations.
