Hawick opera poster winners

A schools art competition run by Hawick Amateur Operatic Society encouraged children to draw characters from American history.

Based on Annie Oakley and Frank Butler from this year’s production of ‘Annie Get Your Gun’, pupils from Stirches and Drumlanrig participated, with entries including Sitting Bull. Judged by past president Jim Wallace, book token and ticket winners are pictured with Janie Mallin (Anne Oakley). They are Keegan Scott, Amelia Scott, Sinead McHugh, Emma Lothian, Kirsty Wood, Clark Graham, John Campion, Natalie Darcy and Connor Levell.

The show runs from March 11-16. Tickets from ILF Imagining.
