Tractor enthusiasts plough fund-raising furrow

High school third-year pupil and tractor fanatic Fraser Lothian and teacher Graeme Cockburn, both members of Borders Friends of Ferguson Heritage, are pictured presenting a donation of £226 to Caroline Tullie, representing Macmillan Cancer Support.

The proceeds came from the club’s annual road run around Duns in June and, latterly, the working day and ploughing match at Deanfoot Farm, near Denholm, courtesy of the Manners family. Similar sums were also donated to Cherrytrees Nursery and Duns Christmas Lights Appeal, as well as the renal unit at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary
