Cornet’s rapturous Hut welcome

CORNET Ross Nichol was greeted with a thunderous welcome as he entered The Hut for last night’s customary ceremony of ordering the Curds and Cream.

Thereafter, the night proceeded in true Common-Riding fashion with song and story, after which the riders remounted and returned to the town to an enthusiastic reception from crowds on Tower Knowe and High Street.
