Opening shots fired ahead of opera production

TICKETS for Hawick Amateur Operatic Society’s production of Annie Get Your Gun go on sale at the outfit’s coffee morning in the town hall tomorrow, from 10am until noon.

The show, which will run from March 11-16, is being staged for the first time in 54 years as well known characters tell the love story of Annie Oakley to sharpshooter Frank Butler, with hit songs ‘Anything you can do’ and ‘There’s no business like show business’.

Under the highly experienced team of producer Brian McGlasson, choreographer Anne Anderson and musical director Derek Calder, the company have been rehearsing flat out since mid September.

Tickets will also be on sale at ILF Imaging from Monday onwards.
