Film club’s rare screening
LITTLE THEATRE FILM CLUB: Members are set to enjoy a rare screening of MGM musical, ‘The Student Prince’ (U) – which was last seen in Hawick at the Pavilion Cinema over 60 years ago – this Sunday at 2pm. The stars are Edmund Purdom and Ann Blyth and also featured is the singing voice of Mario Lanza.The well-known Sigmund Romberg score includes musical numbers such as ‘Serenade’, ‘Deep in My Heart’ and the ‘Drinking Song’, as well as others which were specially written for this 1954 screen version. Afterwards, Christmas dinner will be served at The Bourtree at 4.15 for 4.30pm (bookings only).
