PUPILS from Drumlanrig primary have thrown their weight behind the national Kilts for Kids fund-raiser.
Held last Friday as part of St Andrew's Day celebrations, the event saw the whole school raising £150 for Scottish child welfare charity Children 1st – with pupils and staff all wearing a piece of tartan in return for making a small donation.

There was also a special assembly which featured children from each class performing a Scottish song, dance or poem. While also getting into the spirit of things, the school cooks served haggis and steak pie for lunch.
