Keith to help Galalaw sock firm dip toe in new waters

PRESTIGIOUS sock company The House of Cheviot has appointed a new sales and marketing manager as the firm bids to add another chapter to its success story.
Keith Barker, a well-known face in local knitwear, has been placed at the helm of the high-quality country and kilt sock design and manufacture specialists, in order to lead its expansion.

And the former Johnstons and Peter Scott's export sales manager says he is excited about the challenges ahead. He told the Hawick News: "I'm delighted with my new position and to be back into a smaller company where you can get your hands dirty, because in a bigger company you have a less direct impact on the product.

"My main aim is to develop the European market and to build on the great success in the UK and overseas that already exists with the very high-end list of high-profile customers."
