TERIES are being invited to go that extra mile and take part in next year's Chris Hoy Edinburgh Half Marathon in aid of The Border Holiday Group.
An appeal has gone out for anyone willing to take on the challenge on April 18, to contact Greg Dalgleish at thinkfitness.

Spaces are limited and entry is free, and participants only have to commit to raise £150 in sponsorship. They will also receive free use of the gym from January until the time of the event.

The Border Holiday Group aims to provide a holiday of a lifetime to Europe for sick and disabled people who would otherwise be unable to travel, and at the same time give their carers at home a much-needed rest.

To provide these holidays the group needs to raise approximately £20,000 for each trip. The group leader, his medical team and the helpers are all volunteers, for whom this is a working trip, using their own holiday time to care for those less fortunate than themselves.

Greg said: "This is a great cause and a great chance for people to get fit while making a real difference to those who benefit from the group's charitable work."

Anyone interested should contact Greg at greg@think-fitness.co.uk by Friday, November 27 or telephone 379289.
