ORGANISERS of the hugely-successful 'Burnfoot's Got Talent' fund-raising event would like to say a big thank you to everyone who made it such a fantastic night of entertainment.

Held in Burnfoot Community School at the end of last month, the show, which saw £420 being raised for the Burnfoot youth café project, includ
ed a guest appearance by Radio Borders DJ Richard Thorburn who introduced a host of talented acts, pictured right,s including singers, dancers, musicians and gymnasts as well as members of Burnfoot Girls Brigade, Burnfoot Karate Group, the Monday Club and the junior dancers.

Speaking to the Hawick News, youth development worker Sharon Rees said: "Thanks to each and every one of the performers who all gave a brilliant 100 per cent effort on the night.

"Behind the scenes, we have to thank the senior youth club members who helped with the lighting and serving refreshments – they did a great job. While AJ & Mikki deserve a special mention for their assistance with choreography."

Most of the performers are involved in the Youth Café Group, who meet regularly to discuss plans for their own youth café which will be located in the Co-op in Kenilworth Avenue.

Sharon added: "Anyone interested in helping plan and develop the café project or has any ideas for future fund-raising events should contact me at Burnfoot school on 375147."
