The Hawick Scout Group and Fellowship Pipe Band would like to thank all the people of Hawick, who again gave their support for our Scout Christmas Post fund-raiser.
Our annual fund-raising continues to support all the young people who join our Scout Group and Fellowship Pipe Band, helping to pay some of the costs of running the organisation throughout the year, as well as putting a little aside for our future developments.
This year again saw high numbers of cards being handed in on the Friday and Saturday. Sorting commenced on the Monday with our regular band of hard-working and cheerful helpers being aided by the newer members of the team.
We sorted in record time and trust everyone received their cards before the festive period.
Our thanks as always go to Somerfield for the trays and Iceland for the baskets, both used to sort the mail, Hawick Upholstery Services for the use of its van and to the Congregational Church for the hall.
Most of all our thanks are given to you all, for your continued support for Scouting in Hawick. Without this the Scout Group and Fellowship Pipe Band would not be as succesful as it is today.
Many thanks.
